NUDG
About NUDG

Built from doing the work, not reading about it

Why NUDG exists

Process improvement fails when it ignores people. Leadership training fails when it ignores broken systems. They're not separate problems — and treating them separately is why most consulting doesn't stick.

I spent 20+ years in IT — five of those leading technology teams at CSIRO, Australia's national science agency. I saw the same pattern everywhere: organisations would invest in systems without investing in the people who use them, or pour resources into leadership programs while core processes stayed broken.

NUDG exists because that's where the actual problem usually lives — at the intersection. I work across both because that's what it takes to deliver improvement that lasts. Based in Melbourne, working with small businesses who want practical results — not slide decks.

How I work

Start with listening
I ask a lot of questions before I suggest anything. Every business is different, and cookie-cutter approaches waste everyone's time.
People first
I don't add steps because technology can — I add them because they're the right fit for the business and the people working in it.
Build capability, not dependency
You should be able to run this without me. Your team owns the result — I'm there to build it, hand it over, and get out of the way.
Measure what matters
If we can't measure it, we can't prove it worked. Every engagement has clear success metrics agreed upfront.
